Paul Gauguin Cruises (fully-owned subsidiary of PONANT) has unveiled its 2026 Moana Explorer Program, providing families with a unique opportunity to explore the wonders of French Polynesia. This complimentary program, designed for young travelers ages 6 to 15, will be available on 11 summer and holiday voyages on the Paul Gauguin ship.

In collaboration with Te mana o te moana, a leading South Pacific marine education and conservation foundation, the Moana Explorer Program offers more than traditional children's activities. Young guests will participate in hands-on, interactive experiences that highlight the region's natural beauty and distinctive cultures. Activities include learning about water pollution, playing beach "Survivor" games, hiking volcanic mountains, and snorkeling in pristine lagoons alongside naturalists.

Children will also have the chance to explore underwater life, conduct water experiments, create natural jewelry, embark on treasure hunts, learn about Tahitian culture, and design their own Polynesian tattoos. The 2026 voyages featuring the Moana Explorer Program include:

  • 7-night Tahiti & the Society Islands cruises
  • 7-night More Society Islands & Tahiti itineraries
  • 11-night Society Islands & Tuamotus adventures
  • 10-night More Tuamotus & Society Islands explorations
  • 14-night Marquesas, Tuamotus & Society Islands journeys.

Adding to the appeal for families, children 17 and under sail free when sharing a suite or stateroom with their parents.
