Key attractions missing from Sun Princess ship's Park19 activity deck

When the new Sun Princess ship debuted this spring (2024), she was missing a key onboard attraction: the Park19 “action” deck (decks 19-20-21).

Now, 3 months later, Princess Cruises has officially announced that it will not be including the RollGlider, Coastal Climb, or Ropes Course, which were intended to be Park19's main features.

A spokesperson for the company stated that these facilities will not be opening and they are actively evaluating these designs for future recreational opportunities to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all their guests.

Princess Cruises did not provide a specific reason for this decision.

Despite the absence of these activities, Princess assured that Park19 continues to offer a variety of fun and safe recreational options for guests’ enjoyment.

Current features of Park19 include the Splash Zone for children, equipped with pop jets and water sculptures, a hammock area for relaxation, multifunction sports courts, and the ship’s jogging track.

Additionally, Infinite Horizon is part of Park19, featuring tilt walls that cantilever over the side of the ship, allowing guests to look down from deck 19 to deck 9 and below.
