NCL-Norwegian Cruise Line has announced a significant drydock refurbishment of the Norwegian Encore ship, scheduled for a 2-week drydocking this year (November 18 to December 2). The enhancements will introduce several new features and upgrades to the 20-deck vessel to elevate the onboard experience.

A major highlight of the renovation is the introduction of a redesigned Spice H2O, an adults-only outdoor lounge replacing the existing laser tag arena. Designed by Studio Dado, the new Spice H2O will combine popular elements from the Breakaway-Plus Class and Prima Class vessels, featuring hot tubs, large day beds surrounded by cooling pools, and a bar serving a variety of cocktails.

The refurbishment will also see the expansion of two of Norwegian Encore's most popular dining venues. Cagney’s Steakhouse and Teppanyaki will be enlarged, taking over the spaces currently occupied by Los Lobos and Coco’s. Additionally, the ship’s seafood restaurant, Ocean Blue, will be transformed into Palomar, offering Mediterranean-inspired seafood cuisine.

Further enhancements include the redesign of suites in The Haven, the ship’s exclusive, keycard-access area. The Premier Owner’s Suites will be expanded from two to three bedrooms, with updated living spaces and outdoor furniture. The renovation will also add 24 new balcony staterooms and two club balcony staterooms, repurposing part of the ship’s Observation Lounge.

These updates will complement Norwegian Encore's existing features, such as the Norwegian Encore Speedway, Aqua Park, and the Galaxy Pavilion.

After the dry dock, the ship will embark on a 12-day Transatlantic relocation voyage from Southampton UK to Miami Florida USA (RepositionCruises.com), followed by 7-day Caribbean voyages through March 2025.
