DCL-Disney Cruise Line unveiled Marvel-themed spaces aboard the Disney Destiny ship, its upcoming heroes and villains-themed vessel. The ship will feature immersive areas dedicated to iconic Marvel characters, including Black Panther, Doctor Strange, and Iron Man.
The ship's grand hall will showcase a Black Panther-themed design, highlighted by a statue of T’Challa and a light fixture inspired by Vibranium. Additionally, The Sanctum will be DCL's first lounge themed after Doctor Strange. For the first time in the company's history, Spider-Man and his Spider-Bots will be featured as the ship's signature stern character.
Among the ship's accommodations, guests will find a penthouse suite inspired by Tony Stark. Disney Destiny will also offer popular experiences from other Disney ships, such as the Worlds of Marvel dining experience and the Marvel Super Hero Academy for younger passengers.
Earlier last week, Disney introduced the ship’s new bars, themed around Cruella de Vil, the Haunted Mansion, and Pirates of the Caribbean. The company also recently teased a Lion King-inspired dining experience and a sweet shop named Edna A La Mode Sweets.
Sharon Siskie, DCL's senior vice president and general manager, said "the Disney Destiny is all about celebrating the bold, charismatic, and driven characters" at the heart of their favorite stories.
"And who are our beloved heroes without the antagonists who challenge them to prevail? We want our guests to have fun with the unique theme of this ship, and we are having a blast creating spaces and entertainment experiences that pay tribute to the villains, anti-heroes, and mischief makers who have captivated Disney film and theme park audiences for generations."
Disney Destiny is scheduled to start revenue operations in December 2025.
