Windstar Cruises is set to expand its fleet with the introduction of the 224-passenger ship Star Seeker scheduled to debut in January 2026.
The newbuild vessel will feature 112 suites, with nearly all offering private balconies or floor-to-ceiling infinity windows. The ship features five dining venues, all included in the cruise fare, a full-service spa, and a revamped Watersports Platform that allows guests direct access to the sea.
Star Seeker will introduce a new level of luxury with two Horizon Owner’s Suites located on deck 7 at the aft of the ship. These suites, which can be combined with adjacent accommodations for added space, boast wrap-around balconies ideal for private dining or enjoying panoramic views.
The ship offers a range of 12 different suite categories, including 72 suites with large verandas and 30 infinity suites, featuring windows that slide halfway down to let in the sea breeze.
All suites are designed with comfort in mind, including amenities like fully stocked minibars, interactive HDTVs, and plush robes.
Currently under construction in Portugal, Star Seeker's maiden voyage will be a Transatlantic journey from Malaga (Spain) to Miami (Florida, USA) in early January. After a christening in Miami, the ship will embark on Caribbean cruises before sailing up the U.S. West Coast to Alaska for a summer season. Following Alaska, Star Seeker will journey to Japan, reviving Windstar's popular itineraries in the region, before relocating to Southeast Asia.
Windstar plans to launch a second sistership, Star Explorer/now World Explorer, in December 2026.
Star Seeker's Caribbean, Alaska, and Japan itineraries will be announced to loyalty members and travel advisors first, with general booking available in early September.
