Crown Princess drydock alters itineraries, impacting thousands of passengers

Princess Cruises has announced changes to the upcoming deployment of the Crown Princess ship, which will undergo drydock maintenance, affecting several itineraries and thousands of tourists.

The ship, scheduled to operate in Australia and Asia between September 26, 2025, and January 12, 2026, will now be drydocked from November 29th to December 18th, 2025.

As a result, one voyage is canceled and seven are curtailed or altered.

The company issued a statement explaining that the drydock had been planned but is now taking place later than initially scheduled. Despite the changes, the company assured that the Crown Princess will resume her Brisbane homeporting following the drydock, with no alterations to the Discovery Princess ship’s Sydney homeporting.

Crown Princess had taken over some of the Grand Princess ship's cruises after the latter withdrew from the season, which has seen the line's lowest deployment in recent memory.

The announcement has led to significant dissatisfaction among passengers, with many expressing their frustration on social media.
