Carnival Splendor has successfully completed a drydock refurb in Singapore, emerging with CCL's new livery. The vessel now displays the red, white, and blue hull design that CCL-Carnival Cruise Line introduced in 2021.
Additionally, Carnival Splendor features the Southern Cross design on both sides of the hull - a nod to its connection with P&O Australia, whose ships will soon be integrated into the CCL fleet.
The Southern Cross constellation, historically a navigational aid for sailors journeying to Australia, is deeply embedded in the maritime heritage of the region. This iconic symbol will also be displayed on the bows of Pacific Adventure and Pacific Encounter, which will be rebranded as Carnival Adventure and Carnival Explorer when they join the Carnival fleet in March 2025.
This rebranding follows Carnival's announcement in June of its plans to transition P&O Cruises Australia into the Carnival Cruise Line brand. Preparations are underway for technology upgrades and other system improvements as these ships prepare for their new roles within the fleet. Carnival is also in the process of integrating P&O Cruises Australia’s crew, offering them positions aboard the vessels as they make the shift to Carnival operations.
In addition to the new livery, Carnival Splendor will return to service with several upgrades designed to enhance the guest experience. These updates will be unveiled when the ship returns to Sydney NSW on September 9th.
