Construction on Emerald Cruises’ newest vessel - the Emerald Kaia superyacht, has entered a key phase with the commencement of hull construction, marked by the cutting of the first steel sheets.
This milestone event took place at the yard of the Halong Shipbuilding Company (in Ha Long City, Vietnam), with notable attendees including Nguyen Tuan Anh, the shipyard’s general director, and Ivo Skelin, Scenic Group's director of nautical and technical operations.
The ship's keel-laying ceremony, a pivotal event in the shipbuilding process, is scheduled for 3 months from now. The 393-foot luxury yacht is expected to launch in April 2026 and will offer accommodations for up to 128 guests.
Designed with a focus on high-end amenities, Emerald Kaia will feature a newly designed sky deck with private cabanas, a flexible indoor/outdoor sky lounge, a marina with a cozy lounge area, an observation sun deck, and extensive wellness facilities, including a spa and fitness center.
This development highlights Emerald Cruises' dedication to expanding its fleet with sophisticated, guest-centric vessels, continuing to set new benchmarks in maritime luxury and comfort.
