Princess Cruises has upgraded its onboard Wi-Fi for select vacation packages with the introduction of MedallionNet Max, leveraging Starlink satellite technology.
Announced over Labor Day weekend, the enhanced MedallionNet Max service is now available across the entire fleet, offering cruisers high-speed internet connectivity while at sea.
MedallionNet Max is included in the Princess Plus and Princess Premier packages, starting at US$60 per guest per day. These packages also encompass beverages, specialty dining, room service, fitness classes, photos, gratuities, and more.
For guests not opting for these packages, Princess offers MedallionNet Classic, which has been the standard network service since 2018. The Classic service is available as an add-on, priced at US$24.99 per day for a single device and US$44.99 per day for multiple devices.
With these options, Princess Cruises now provides two tiers of Wi-Fi service: MedallionNet Classic and the premium MedallionNet Max, the latter offering prioritized access to high-performance bandwidth, primarily via Starlink.
The MedallionNet Max service is particularly beneficial for passengers on longer cruises, including the four tiers of Princess’ Epic Voyages: World Cruises, Journeys Far & Away, Immersive Itineraries, and Ocean Crossings.
