A tragic accident occurred on RCI-Royal Caribbean's OASIS-class ship Harmony of the Seas on September 7th when a 12-year-old boy died after falling from a cabin balcony.

The fall took place on Deck 14, landing in the Central Park atrium (Deck 8), a public area where passengers were gathered in bars and restaurants.

The ship was en route to Galveston, Texas, at the conclusion of a 7-day Caribbean voyage.

According to reports, the boy had been playing with friends he had met during the voyage when he fell over the railing. Despite the immediate response of the ship's medical personnel, the boy could not be saved, and he passed away before the vessel reached port.

The kid was traveling with his family, including two sisters, as part of a birthday celebration.

Royal Caribbean has confirmed the incident and expressed their condolences, stating that they are in communication with the family.

An investigation is underway to determine the exact circumstances surrounding the fall.
