Carnival Valor forced to cancel port due to cyclone Francine, turns into 'Cruise to Nowhere'

CCL-Carnival Cruise Line's Carnival Valor was forced to cancel her scheduled port visit due to post-tropical cyclone Francine, effectively turning the voyage into a cruise-to-nowhere.

The ship returned to New Orleans (Port NOLA Louisiana) on Friday, September 13th, after weather-related delays.

Originally planned as a 4-day Western Caribbean cruise with a stop in Cozumel, the sailing was shortened by a day, and the port visit was canceled due to the storm's impact. Carnival Valor’s previous sailing was delayed as Port NOLA had been closed, but it has since reopened.

Carnival has announced partial refunds for the missed day, along with reimbursements for Wi-Fi and beverage packages purchased for that period. Additionally, passengers will receive a US$100 OBC/onboard credit, a 50% FCC/future cruise credit, and compensation for any costs related to flight changes.
