The forthcoming International and Domestic Cruise Terminal at Mormugao Port in Goa (India) is set to enhance passenger traffic by March 2025.

This state-of-the-art facility is expected to increase Goa's position in the global cruise market, aligning with a 40% growth in cruise traffic recorded at Mormugao Port Authority (MPA) during the 2023-2024 financial year.

According to a senior MPA official, the terminal's inauguration will strengthen tourism, boost the local economy, and support infrastructure development in the state.

Designed to cater to international and domestic tourists, the terminal will feature 24 immigration counters, 10 check-in counters, and luxury amenities aimed at foreign passengers. A key feature will be a waiting lounge and a shopping zone spanning 3,700 square meters, accessible to both cruise passengers and the general public.

Additional facilities include duty-free retail shops, lounges, a food court, parking areas, ferry terminal services, and landscaped areas. The terminal's development is expected to significantly enhance the cruise experience and position Goa as a key player in the maritime tourism sector.
