TUI Cruises is set to launch a newly refurbished riverboat - TUI Bahareya, on the Nile River in November 2025.
This marks the 6th boat in TUI's river fleet and the 2nd dedicated to Nile sailings, following the success of TUI Al Horeya. Named after the Arabic term for “belonging to the river,” TUI Bahareya will offer two 7-night roundtrip itineraries from Luxor.
The ship will accommodate 136 passengers across 68 cabins, mirroring the size of other vessels in TUI's fleet. Key features include a top-deck swimming pool, massage tent, entertainment area, restaurant, Al Fresco dining, and a boutique shop. The ship’s decor will draw inspiration from modern Arabic design, enhancing the cultural immersion onboard.
Katy Berzins, head of TUI River Cruises, expressed optimism about the launch, highlighting the growing demand for Nile cruises. She emphasized that TUI Bahareya will provide a distinct cultural experience, blending modern Arabic decor with Egyptian-inspired cuisine, activities, and onboard entertainment.
TUI Bahareya will debut with the “Ancient Gods and Famous Pharaohs” itinerary starting on November 4th, 2025, followed by the “Legends of the Nile” itinerary on December 2nd, alternating monthly.
