Riviera River Cruises is set to launch its newest riverboat - Riviera Resplendence, in 2026, alongside 5 new itineraries and an exclusive voyage catering to solo travelers.
The announcement comes with a limited-time offer of 50% off all European river cruises for 2026, available for booking until December 15th, 2024.
Riviera Resplendence will be a 443-ft (135-m) ship featuring state-of-the-art amenities spread over 4 decks.
Resplendence will introduce Riviera’s largest staterooms to date, along with a split-level bar and restaurant.
A new dining option, Mosaic, will offer gourmet tasting menus inspired by Europe’s rivers.
The boat’s 89 staterooms, accommodating up to 178 guests, will feature bathrooms with rain showers, LCD TVs, and individually controlled air conditioning.
Grand Suites will span 344 ft2 (32 m2), with step-out balconies and spacious indoor seating areas, while other cabins will be with French balconies and scenic river views.
New Themed Itineraries Riviera will debut 5 themed cruises in 2026, appealing to travelers with interests in areas like gastronomy and art. Highlights include:
- Gardens & Natural Beauty of the Rhine: An 8-day itinerary exploring the Rhine Gorge, castle gardens in Heidelberg, and the Rose Garden of Saverne, available from May to October 2026.
- Gastronomy of the Danube: Running from April to October 2026, this culinary cruise includes 15 experiences such as wine tastings and a visit to a traditional confectioner at Schönbrunn Palace.
- Music & Art of the Blue Danube: An 8-day cruise available April through October 2026, focusing on classical music and the legacies of composers like Mozart.
Special Departure for Solo Travelers To meet the rising demand for solo travel, Riviera will offer a dedicated 8-day solo itinerary in August 2026, featuring stops in medieval German towns such as Mainz, Rothenburg, Bamberg, and Nuremberg. This special departure will continue Riviera’s tradition of offering solo cruises with no single supplement, providing a welcoming environment for independent travelers.
