HAL-Holland America Line will bring its renowned Alaska Cruise and Travel Show to San Diego (California USA) for the first time on Saturday, November 9th, 2024.
The event, hosted at the Sheraton San Diego Hotel & Marina, will run from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and is free to attend. Designed as an immersive exploration of Alaska, the expo offers prospective travelers a detailed look into the region, highlighting the company’s extensive experience in Alaska cruising.
Previously held in cities such as Seattle, Vancouver, and Phoenix, the San Diego event will provide attendees the opportunity to engage with experts in Alaskan travel, experience regional culinary offerings, participate in activities such as gold panning and axe throwing, and attend informative presentations. Attendees will also be entered into a sweepstake, with prizes including one of six US$500 Holland America Line gift cards and a grand prize: a Holland America Line Alaska cruise for two.
Those who book an Alaska cruise or Cruisetour during the event will receive special offers, including reduced deposits and onboard credits. Holland America Line’s shore excursion team will be available on-site to discuss the wide range of tours and experiences available in Alaska, assisting both prospective and booked guests in planning their itineraries. For those already booked on an Alaska cruise, the event offers an opportunity to tailor their voyage by adding amenities such as beverage packages and specialty dining options.
In 2025, six Holland America Line vessels will sail in Alaska, with departures from Seattle, Vancouver, and Whittier. Every itinerary includes a visit to one or more of Alaska’s glacier destinations, with Glacier Bay National Park featured prominently on many voyages. During the Glacier Bay experience, all ships carry a National Park Ranger to provide expert commentary and presentations.
For those seeking to explore beyond the coastline, Holland America Line’s Cruisetours combine an Alaskan cruise with overland journeys, offering access to destinations such as Denali National Park and the Yukon Territory in Canada. Holland America Line remains the only cruise line to include these regions in their Alaskan itineraries.
