Royal Caribbean's Icon OTS launches St. Kitts’ 2024-2025 cruise season with record influx of passengers

The world's largest cruise ship, RCI-Royal Caribbean's Icon of the Seas, officially commenced the 2024-2025 cruise tourism season in St. Kitts and Nevis on October 8th, 2024. The vessel's arrival at Port Zante brought a significant influx of passengers, energizing the island's tourism industry.

The current cruise season, which began on October 1st, 2024, will run until May 31st, 2025. During October, St. Kitts is expecting ~10 cruise calls, with more ships scheduled to dock in the coming months.

This stop in St. Kitts was the Icon of the Seas' first port on her Caribbean voyage, departing from PortMiami Florida on a 7-day itinerary that includes stops in St. Thomas and Perfect Day at CocoCay. The vessel, using the government-managed second cruise pier at Port Zante, spent a full day at the island, with passengers sharing their experiences on social media, capturing the beauty of the destination.

Following Icon of the Seas, the Celebrity Summit will dock on October 11th, followed by Rhapsody of the Seas on October 16th, Sapphire Princess on October 18th, and Carnival Dream on October 26th. Notably, on October 30th, 3 ships - Britannia, Mein Schiff 2, and Sapphire Princess - are set to arrive simultaneously, delivering a substantial boost to local businesses. The month concludes with Rhapsody of the Seas returning on October 31st.

This active cruise season is poised to greatly enhance the local economy, bringing numerous passengers and opportunities to the shores of St. Kitts.
