TUI's Marella Cruises UK has revealed plans for a special solar eclipse voyage aboard the Marella Discovery 2 ship in the summer of 2026.

This unique voyage is set to offer passengers a chance to witness the solar eclipse at sea on August 12th, 2026, while the ship is positioned in Palamos (Spain).

Ports of call will include Palamos, Spain; Propriano, France; Civitavecchia/Rome, Italy; Salerno (for Pompeii and Amalfi), Italy; Palermo, Sicily Italy; and a return to Palma.

In addition to this eclipse-focused voyage, Discovery 2 will also feature a refreshed ‘Jewels of the Mediterranean’ itinerary, starting on May 12th, 2026. This route, also departing from Palma, will include stops in Olbia, Sardinia; La Spezia (for Portofino and Florence), Italy; Villefranche (for Monaco), France; Toulon (for the Cote d'Azur), France; Palamos, Spain; and a return to Palma, Majorca.

The cruise line is further enhancing its offerings with an expanded Cruise & Stay program. This includes the addition of 18 new hotel options across Cyprus, Croatia, Corfu, and Spain, supplementing the 112 hotels already available to Cruise & Stay guests. These accommodations will be accessible via flights from 20 airports across the UK.
