HAL-Holland America Line will expand its Canada and New England USA season in 2026, adding more cruises, call ports, and overnight port stays.

The season's highlight will be a new 28-day "Canada, New England, and Iceland" Legendary Voyage, offering an in-depth exploration of these regions, departing roundtrip from homeport Boston MA.

Between April and October, HAL's ships Zuiderdam and Volendam will operate 7-day itineraries, roundtrip from Boston or between Boston, Montreal, and Quebec City.

Volendam will also offer 10- and 11-day itineraries, exploring the Maritimes, Newfoundland, and New France. On June 20th, 2026, the new 28-day Legendary Voyage aboard Volendam will take guests from Boston to ports in Maine and Nova Scotia, then eastward to explore 7 Icelandic ports, before returning to Atlantic Canada. This roundtrip includes overnight stays in St. John's (Newfoundland), Reykjavik (Iceland), and Halifax (Nova Scotia). Throughout the season, 18 itineraries will highlight the region's coastal cities, maritime history, and natural scenery. Most itineraries will include visits to Quebec City or Montreal, taking advantage of HAL's midsized ships, which can navigate the St Lawrence River.

Guests on the 2026 Canada and New England sailings will experience a range of regionally inspired activities both on and off the ship. Destination dining will feature authentic local flavors such as Maine lobster, Prince Edward Island mussels, North Atlantic cod, and poutine. Shore excursions will include experiences like lobster boils and culinary tours, offering further opportunities to enjoy local cuisine. Onboard entertainment includes performances like "Breton Thunder," an exclusive Nova Scotia music show celebrating the region's European heritage.

For a limited time, guests booking 2026 Canada and New England cruises with the "Have It All" premium package will receive standard amenities such as shore excursions, specialty dining, a Signature Beverage Package, and Surf Wi-Fi, plus added perks including prepaid crew gratuities and free upgrades to the Elite Beverage Package and Premium Wi-Fi.
