A 66-year-old woman reportedly fell overboard from the RCI-Royal Caribbean cruise ship Allure of the Seas during a voyage in the Bahamas.

The incident occurred ~9:40 p.m. on Tuesday, Octover 22nd, when the ship was ~17 miles (27 km) from Nassau Bahamas. Authorities, including the USCG/Coast Guard and the Royal Bahamas Defense Force, were notified and launched a search operation.

A Coast Guard HC-144 airplane crew and an MH-65 Dolphin helicopter were deployed to assist in the search.

As of Wednesday morning, the search for the missing passenger was ongoing.

Allure OTS was hosting a themed cruise organized by Swift fans under the name "In My Cruise Era" which departed from Miami on Monday. The voyage featured fan events such as karaoke, trivia, and themed evenings, inspired by Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour.

It remains unclear whether the missing woman was part of this specific group.
