TUI River Cruises has introduced a newly refurbished ship, set to join its fleet as the highest-capacity vessel yet, ready to sail the Rhine and Moselle from Amsterdam (Netherlands), Basel (Switzerland), and Frankfurt (Germany) for the summer 2026 season.
The 190-passenger boat TUI Ria is the fleet’s largest by capacity to date. Following strong demand in its 3rd operational year, with a 17% increase in bookings, the line has also introduced new flight routes, allowing for direct travel from Newcastle Airport to Frankfurt and Bristol Airport to Amsterdam.
TUI Ria becomes the 4th vessel in TUI’s river fleet, joining adult-only sisterships TUI Isla, TUI Maya, and TUI Skyla.
The ship will offer varied itineraries of 6, 7, 8, and 9 nights on Full Board Plus, sailing between key embarkation points in Amsterdam, Basel, and Frankfurt. 3 new routes - Moselle & North Rhine, North Rhine & Moselle Explorer, and Dutch Delta Discovery - will add to the ship’s 9 itineraries.
This vessel is the first in TUI’s European river fleet to feature an innovative onboard pool with panoramic views, complete with a retractable roof for year-round enjoyment. The pool area, designed to transform into an evening dining and entertainment space, brings added versatility to the upper deck, which also features a sauna, sun loungers, a putting green, and shuffleboard.
TUI Ria’s 96 cabins will offer a selection of standard French balcony cabins and superior cabins. With modern, spacious interiors and a variety of dining, lounge, and entertainment areas, the ship is designed to offer guests a comprehensive cruising experience on Europe’s waterways. Additionally, selected flights from Bristol to Amsterdam and Newcastle to Frankfurt will cater to convenient embarkation options for travelers.
Offering both a Full Board Plus standard and an all-inclusive upgrade option, TUI Ria will include a day-to-night entertainment program, continuing TUI River Cruises’ focus on engaging, curated experiences onboard and ashore.
