On October 24th, 2024, Meyer Werft delivered the new cruise ship, Disney Treasure, to DCL-Disney Cruise Line.

The Disney Treasure showcases advanced and innovative entertainment facilities, distinguishing it within the cruise industry. Completed ahead of the contractual schedule, the vessel will embark on its maiden guest voyage in December. The ship will feature a variety of immersive experiences, drawing from Disney’s extensive story portfolio. Highlights include theatrical dining inspired by Pixar’s Coco, a Broadway-style adaptation of Moana, and new lounges themed after Disney Parks, including a Haunted Mansion-inspired bar for adult guests.

This latest addition to the Disney Cruise Line fleet is the 5th vessel Meyer Werft has constructed for Disney, following a collaboration that began with the construction of the Disney Dream and Disney Fantasy, delivered in 2010 and 2012, respectively.

The Disney Treasure joins the Disney Wish-class of vessels, following the delivery of its sistership, the Disney Wish, in 2022. A 3rd ship in this class, the Disney Destiny, is currently under construction at Meyer Werft’s Papenburg shipyard, with a scheduled delivery date in 2025.

In August 2024, Disney Cruise Line and Meyer Werft announced the addition of 4 new vessels, planned to join the Disney fleet between 2027 and 2031. The shipyard is currently under contract to deliver a total of 10 cruise ships, a research vessel, and 4 offshore converter platforms by 2031.
