HAL-Holland America unveils revised 2026 Grand World Voyage itinerary aboard ms Volendam

HAL-Holland America Line has announced updates to its 2026 Grand World Voyage on ms Volendam ship.

The revised route now visits destinations in East and Southeast Asia, Central America, USA, and features a Panama Canal transit.

The itinerary chage replaces the previously planned passage through the Suez Canal/Red Sea.

In consultation with global security experts and considering regional dynamics, Holland America has chosen to reroute the voyage, impacting the final 54 days and extending the journey from 132 to 133 days due to the crossing of the International Dateline. The updated voyage will include 51 distinct ports across 23 countries and territories on five continents, concluding as scheduled on May 17th, 2026, in Fort Lauderdale (Florida USA).

After an overnight call in Singapore, Volendam will navigate northward to Vietnam, with stops in Phu My/Ho Chi Minh City, Nha Trang, and Halong Bay/Hanoi. The ship will then overnight in Hong Kong China before continuing to Kaohsiung and Keelung (Taipei), Taiwan.

The Japan portion includes 6 ports, featuring overnight stays in Nagasaki and Tokyo, before Volendam crosses the Pacific. North American highlights include calls in Kodiak, Sitka, and Ketchikan, Alaska, and along the U.S. Pacific Coast, with stops in Seattle and San Diego. The ship will then proceed southward, calling in Manzanillo and Puerto Chiapas, Mexico, and Acajutla, El Salvador, followed by an overnight in Fuerte Amador (Panama City) and a Panama Canal transit. The voyage then heads to Cartagena (Colombia) before concluding in Fort Lauderdale.

Cruise-only fares for the full 2026 Grand World Voyage start at US$30,354 per person, inclusive of taxes and fees, based on double occupancy. Beginning November 13, travelers may book 21- to 55-day segments that focus on the new portion of the itinerary. Highlighted segments include:

  • 55-day Singapore to Fort Lauderdale, departing March 24th, 2026
  • 21-day Singapore to Tokyo, departing March 24th, 2026
  • 34-day Tokyo to Fort Lauderdale, departing April 14th, 2026.
