Approximately 40 passengers sustained minor injuries when a ferry made contact with a pier in Hong Kong's Central financial district during docking procedures on Friday morning, November 1st.
The incident occurred at Pier 9 around 07:14 a.m. local time and involved a Tsui Wah Ferry Service vessel carrying 130 passengers.
Police confirmed that medical assistance was being provided to the 41 passengers with slight injuries, noting that an investigation is underway. The ferry's captain was unharmed, and no crew members sustained injuries.
The ferry typically serves as a commuter route for employees traveling to Lamma Power Station, operating between Tsim Sha Tsui, Central, and Lamma Island, according to local media reports.
