55 passengers and 15 crew affected by Norovirus on Coral Princess

A norovirus outbreak has been reported aboard Princess Cruises’ ship Coral Princess, with 55 passengers and 15 crew members experiencing symptoms such as vomiting and diarrhea.

According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the cases occurred among 1,822 passengers during the ship's current voyage.

The Coral Princess is operating a month-long cruise, departing from Singapore on October 17th, with a final destination of Los Angeles (California USA).

In response to the outbreak, Princess Cruises has implemented enhanced cleaning and disinfection protocols in line with its outbreak prevention and response plan.

The CDC’s Vessel Sanitation Program is monitoring the situation remotely, while the cruise line continues to manage the issue onboard.
