The UK-based premium adults-only cruise line Virgin Voyages is further enhancing its support for travel agents (known as First Mates) by introducing a suite of new incentives alongside the return of popular offers. In alignment with the busy holiday and retail seasons, the brand aims to reinforce its dedication to its travel partners with initiatives tailored to their needs.
Virgin emphasized that these incentives were developed by closely engaging with the advisor community, ensuring they align with the tools and benefits that best serve both First Mates and their clients. The cruise line highlighted the importance of this approach as Wave season approaches, a peak booking period for the industry. The additions include reduced single supplements for solo travelers, a 10% savings for clients paying in full, and the revival of the sought-after Bar Tab offer. These join the Black Friday promotion, which offers 80% off a second Sailor’s fare and up to US$300 in Bar Tab credit.
Catering to the growing solo travel market, Virgin’s reduced single supplement offers savings of up to US$3,500 for individual travelers. These Sailors can enjoy curated solo-focused experiences onboard, including group fitness classes, pub crawls, and rejuvenating spa sessions. For early planners, booking 180 days or more in advance and paying in full grants an additional 10% discount on voyage fares.
The return of the Bar Tab promotion, available in select packages, is another highlight designed to enhance the onboard experience. This incentive, well-received by Sailors, also supports First Mates by boosting sales and value for clients.
Virgin Voyages continues to set itself apart by remaining NCF-free (non-commissionable fare) and maintaining some of the industry’s highest commission rates for advisors, reinforcing its position as a travel partner-focused cruise line.
