MSC Musica, the MSC Cruises vessel designated for South Africa's 2024-2025 cruise season, has officially arrived in Durban, heralding the beginning of an exciting new chapter for regional cruising.
The upcoming season will feature diverse itineraries, including voyages to the Portuguese Island and Pomene off Mozambique's coast, as well as extended journeys to Mauritius, Madagascar, and Reunion. These destinations offer a mix of scenic beauty and cultural exploration, appealing to a wide range of travelers.
Ross Volk, Managing Director of MSC Cruises South Africa, highlighted the suitability of MSC Musica for South African passengers, citing its array of bars, lounges, expansive deck spaces, and a wide selection of entertainment options designed to cater to all preferences.
In a notable enhancement to the cruise experience, MSC Cruises has introduced the MSC Prive Lounge at Durban’s Nelson Mandela Cruise Terminal for the 2024-2025 season. Designed to provide an elevated embarkation process, the lounge offers passengers a range of premium services, including a dedicated baggage drop-off area, priority security screening, a dedicated check-in counter, expedited immigration procedures, and access to the Prive Lounge itself, where light refreshments and non-alcoholic beverages are served.
The lounge is available for an additional fee of R350 (~US$19) per adult, applicable only for embarkation on cruises departing from Durban. Reservations for the service can be made by contacting MSC Cruises’ call center.
With the arrival of MSC Musica and the launch of the exclusive Prive Lounge, MSC Cruises is set to deliver a seamless and memorable cruising experience for South African travelers this season.
