With the April 2025 launch of MSC’s newest ship - MSC World America, approaching, the company provided an update on the vessel’s construction and highlighted its innovative features.

As an evolution of MSC's World-Class prototype MSC World Europa, the World America ship is designed to offer an enhanced vacation experience tailored for Caribbean travelers, combining MSC’s signature European elegance with comforts appealing to North American guests.

World America will introduce seven onboard districts, each with its own atmosphere, facilities, and curated experiences. This layout is intended to give passengers the freedom to personalize their cruise journey, creating a vacation that suits their preferences while maximizing onboard enjoyment.

MSC's new flagship will debut a range of new dining and entertainment venues, including:

  • Eataly Restaurant: The only one of its kind at sea, delivering an authentic Italian culinary experience.
  • Paxos: A newly conceived Greek restaurant.
  • The Loft: MSC Cruises’ first dedicated comedy club, offering nightly entertainment in an intimate setting.

Bernhard Stacher (MSC's Senior VP of Shipboard Hospitality Operations) noted that the extensive planning and investment have focused on creating a cruise experience that caters to diverse guest preferences.

The Family Aventura District, one of the seven onboard zones, will feature The Harbour, a revolutionary outdoor venue designed for families. The area includes attractions such as Cliffhanger, a swing ride that extends 50 meters above the ocean, offering an exhilarating experience and panoramic views. William Monts de Oca Rivera, Head of Guest Experience Innovation, emphasized that this venue has been crafted to foster shared experiences for children and parents alike.

Currently in the outfitting stage at the Chantiers de l’Atlantique/STX France (shipyard in Saint-Nazaire), MSC World America is undergoing the installation of interiors, public spaces, and facilities. The ship is on schedule to be christened during a high-profile ceremony in Miami (Florida USA) on April 9th, 2025.

This milestone underscores MSC Cruises’ dedication to advancing ship design and delivering memorable experiences for travelers across the globe.
