Cunard Line has unveiled a partnership with Talk Art podcasters Russell Tovey and Robert Diament, introducing an innovative, self-guided art tour on MS Queen Anne.
The 3000-passenger vessel, which started revenue operations in May 2024, features the largest curated art collection at sea, showcasing 4300+ contemporary works by 300+ artists and designers.
The new audio-guided tour, launched this month as part of Queen Anne’s enrichment program, highlights 40+ pieces from the ship’s extensive collection. Guests can explore works such as Michael James O’Brien’s Gilbert and George portrait displayed in the Golden Lion Pub, and Susumu Kamijo’s Poodles series in the Aji Wa restaurant. Tovey and Diament provide insights into each piece, blending artist interviews, the story behind the works, and their own interpretations.
Queen Anne's art collection, curated with contributions from emerging talents and established artists, spans a range of mediums, from photography to sculpture. It includes collaborations with graduates of prestigious institutions like the Royal College of Art. One standout piece is Aaron Tilley’s photographic work "Tales of Cunard" evoking the company’s golden age of transatlantic shipping. The piece incorporates vintage Cunard artifacts and will be prominently displayed in the Princess Grill Suites.
Russell Tovey, an actor, and Robert Diament, a gallerist, host the internationally popular Talk Art podcast, which has received 6+ million downloads across 170 countries. Their discussions focus on artistic styles, movements, and cultural significance, aimed at making art more accessible to a global audience. Through this collaboration, Cunard underscores its commitment to delivering cultural and artistic enrichment, elevating the onboard experience for its guests.
