Windstar Cruises has seen extraordinary interest in its 2026 Japan sailings aboard Star Seeker, the newest addition to its fleet launching in December 2025. To meet growing demand, the line has advanced bookings for its spring 2027 Japan season and unveiled an additional fall departure to its schedule.

The 10-night Grand Japan itinerary offers an intimate exploration of Japan, sailing from Tokyo to Kyoto with a stop in Busan (South Korea). Highlights include:

  • Scenic cruising of the Inland Sea
  • Circling the enigmatic abandoned island of Hashima
  • Visits to the Peace Memorial Parks of Nagasaki and Hiroshima
  • Calls at lesser-known ports like Takamatsu, renowned for its gardens and Udon, and Karatsu, known for its iconic castle.

Star Seeker will arrive in Japan in September 2026, following a Pacific crossing from Alaska. Windstar will operate 5 sailings of the Grand Japan itinerary through October 2026 and 7 additional sailings in spring 2027, spanning March through May.

Guests sailing in spring may enjoy Japan’s famed cherry blossoms, with Star Seeker’s design - featuring balconies and infinity windows - optimized for scenic viewing.
