Bookings are now open for the voyages of Disney Adventure - Walt Disney Company’s first Asia-based ship to be year-round homeported in Singapore.

Bookings for the maiden voyage, scheduled to depart out of Singapore for December 15th, 2025, opened to the general public on December 10th. Early access was granted earlier to DCL/Disney Cruise Line’s loyalty members.

Singapore welcomed 4.4 million visitors in 2024-Q3, marking a 14% increase over 2023-Q3. The city-state is projected to achieve its highest annual arrivals since 2019.

MS Disney Adventure, DCL's largest vessel (19 decks, 2111 staterooms, volume 208,000 GT-tons and max passenger capacity ~6700) will be based in Singapore for at least five years (2025-2030).

Jacqueline Ng (Director of the Singapore Tourism Board’s cruise development group) anticipates the ship will attract millions of local and international tourists during the 5 years.

In 2023, Singapore set a record with 2 million cruise passengers, over half of whom were international.

Disney is strategically leveraging the global post-COVID travel rebound, aiming to double its investment in parks and cruise operations over the next decade. Its current fleet of five ships is slated to grow to 13 by 2031.

Unlike the fleetmates, Disney Adventure was not originally built for Disney. It was acquired for just EUR 40 million (~US$42 million) from GHK/Genting Hong Kong during GHK’s bankruptcy proceedings in 2022.

Constructed in Germany (at MV Werften Wismar), the vessel features seven themed areas inspired by Disney, Pixar, and Marvel franchises, with attractions designed to reflect the immersive experiences of Disney's theme parks.

Among its highlights, the upper deck boasts a Marvel-themed area, including a groundbreaking Iron Man roller coaster - the world’s longest roller coaster at sea, stretching 250 meters (820 feet). Guests can also enjoy a live stage show featuring Marvel superheroes and villains. Dining options onboard emphasize Asian cuisines, catering to the regional palate with offerings from Indian and Japanese dishes to bubble tea.

The ex-Singapore voyages range from 3- to 5 nights. Prices for the maiden voyage start at ~US$1,564 for two adults, while a 3-night cruise for a family of four in an ocean-view stateroom is priced at ~US$3,400. For an elevated experience, two exclusive Frozen-themed suites are also available.

With DCL’s commitment to enhancing its offerings and Singapore's growing role as a hub for Southeast Asian tourism, MS Disney Adventure is poised to become a major player in the region’s cruise market.
