Victory Cruise Lines (operated by American Queen Steamboat Company), set to relaunch in April 2025, has named the godmothers for its vessels Victory I and Victory II. Chairman John Waggoner has looked within his family to honor two inspirational women for the ceremonial role. Waggoner’s daughter, Emily Coleman, will serve as godmother of Victory I, while his eldest granddaughter, Molly Applegate, will assume the role for Victory II.
The cruise line will mark its return with a special 10-night New England & Canada reunion voyage in mid-April 2025, hosted by Waggoner and his wife Claudette. The itinerary will include notable guest entertainers.
Victory I will be formally named in Toronto on April 27th, following the reunion sailing. Victory II will be christened at Chicago’s Navy Pier on May 12th before embarking on her journey to Toronto. The vessel’s itinerary highlights all 5 Great Lakes, offering a comprehensive experience of the region.
Each Victory Cruise Lines voyage includes a range of amenities:
- One-night pre-cruise hotel stay with ground transfers between hotel, ship, and airport.
- All oceanview accommodations, with select rooms featuring private verandas.
