AROYA Cruises celebrated the first commercial sailing of its flagship vessel AROYA on her inaugural cruise across the Red Sea. The voyage marks a significant milestone for the new cruise line, as it introduces a tailored experience rooted in Arabian culture and hospitality.
The maiden voyage showcased exclusive performances at the 1018-seat AROYA Theatre, featuring two celebrated Saudi artists, Abadi Al Johar and Zaina Emad. These performances highlighted the company's commitment to delivering culturally resonant and memorable entertainment.
Homeported in Jeddah, AROYA is designed to provide an exceptional cruise experience, emphasizing Arabian preferences and traditions. The vessel offers a range of world-class amenities, including a luxury spa, one of the largest children’s play areas at sea, and diverse entertainment tailored for all ages.
Among its distinctive features is a souq-inspired shopping district spanning 1585 m2 (17,060 ft2) - the largest retail space at sea. Guests can also enjoy a variety of dining options, including Irth, the first Saudi restaurant at sea, offering authentic regional cuisine.
AROYA Cruises aims to redefine vacations in the region, offering passengers a blend of luxury, cultural immersion, and family-friendly activities, ensuring every guest enjoys a unique and enriching experience.
Joerg Rudolph (AROYA Cruises' President) said they are "incredibly proud to see AROYA embark on its first commercial voyage from Jeddah after two years of hard work and dedication."
"This is an important moment for AROYA Cruises and a major step forward in developing Saudi’s overall tourism offering as part of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 goals. We are thrilled to welcome passengers on board for the first time.”
