CCL started operations in 1972 with a single ship sailing from PortMiami. Over the years, the company has expanded to 27 vessels operating from more USA homeports than any other brand, as well as two homeports in Australia.

CCL's fleet is set to grow to 29 ships by spring 2025, with further expansion planned.

As part of its 55th anniversary celebrations, CCL will also introduce a new Excel-class ship in 2027, signaling the start of another period of growth. By 2033, the line plans to add 4 additional vessels, further cementing its status as a leader in the cruise industry.
