Uniworld’s India itinerary will be prominently featured in the first two episodes of Channel 5’s upcoming series, Susan Calman’s Cruise of a Lifetime, set to air in 2025.
"The Golden Triangle and Sacred Ganges" cruisetour, combining a land excursion from New Delhi to Agra and Jaipur with a 7-night cruise on RV Ganges Voyager II ship, forms the focus of these episodes.
The TV series, hosted by presenter and comedian Susan Calman, debuts on January 3rd at 9:00 p.m., with the second episode following on January 10th.
The program showcases a variety of experiences from the itinerary, including a pedal-powered rickshaw ride through Old Delhi, a sunrise visit to the Taj Mahal, learning block-printing techniques in Jaipur, and exploring temples and palaces along the Ganges. It also highlights the vibrant life along the riverbanks.
To coincide with the broadcast, Uniworld has released a dedicated India brochure and announced a special promotional offer for the 15-day tour, priced at GBP 6,239 per person, valid for a departure on January 1st, 2026.
Chris Townson, Uniworld’s UK and Europe managing director, remarked that hosting Susan Calman and the production team on the India itinerary was a pleasure. He noted the significant impact of television exposure in boosting awareness and generating interest, expressing optimism for a surge in bookings following the broadcast. Townson encouraged travel agents to watch the series to better understand the unique features of the itinerary, which he described as a "bucket list" experience deserving of the "cruise of a lifetime" label.
