Adora Magic City, the first China-constructed large cruise ship, completed its inaugural year of commercial operations, conducting 84 voyages and hosting 600,000 passengers, as reported by Shanghai Customs.

The vessel embarked on its maiden voyage on January 1st, 2024, quickly establishing itself as a prominent feature in China's travel market, capturing an estimated 40% share of the international segment within the year.

On Sunday, December 29th, 3000+ passengers boarded the ship at Shanghai Wusongkou Terminal for a 6-day New Year voyage.

The 324-m/1062-ft long Adora Magic City has 2125 staterooms and accommodates up to 5246 passengers. 1000+ manufacturers, both domestic and international, contributed to the vessel's construction.

Looking ahead, China is set to deliver its second domestically built large cruiser by the end of 2026, with plans for international operations to commence from Port Guangzhou in 2027.

This marks another step forward in China's ambition to expand its footprint in the global cruise industry.
