TUI Cruises has announced the cancellation of 3 planned ship relocation voyages through the Suez Canal/Red Sea in 2025-Q4 (RepositionCruises.com) originally scheduled for Mein Schiff 4, Mein Schiff 5, and Mein Schiff 6.
This decision has been made in response to prevailing security concerns in the region. Instead of transitioning between Europe and Asia via the Middle East, these ships will now reposition through African and Indian Ocean routes.
The revised itineraries necessitate further adjustments to the schedule, resulting in the cancellation of other sailings.
Mein Schiff 4's planned voyages departing between October 1st and November 3rd, 2025, are canceled.
Mein Schiff 5's voyages between November 7th and December 13th, 2025, are also canceled.
Mein Schiff 6's sailings from October 19th to November 26th, 2025, are affected.
To address these disruptions, TUI Cruises is offering impacted guests a full refund of their fare, along with a 10% discount on a future cruise in the form of a credit. Those opting for the new African repositioning cruises, which will soon be available for booking, will receive an additional 10% discount. The revised itineraries are expected to include stops along Africa’s coast, with destinations such as South Africa, Namibia, Reunion, and Mauritius.
Following their summer schedules in Europe, Mein Schiff 4 and Mein Schiff 5 will reposition to the Arabian Gulf for the winter season, offering 7-night itineraries departing from Dubai and Doha, and featuring calls in the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, and Oman. Meanwhile, Mein Schiff 6 will deploy to Southeast Asia and the Far East for the 2025-2026 winter season, offering extended voyages departing from ports such as Singapore, Hong Kong, and Yokohama.
