P&O UK's ship Arcadia departed Southampton on a 99-night world voyage titled "Epic World Explorer" on Friday, January 3rd.
The itinerary spans 30+ destinations worldwide, offering a comprehensive journey through iconic regions and diverse cultures.
The voyage begins with a call in Funchal (Portugal) followed by a Transatlantic crossing to the Caribbean, featuring stops in vibrant ports such as Barbados and Curacao. Arcadia then navigates through the Panama Canal, crossing into the Pacific Ocean for visits to the USA (California and Hawaii).
Arcadia’s itinerary highlights the South Pacific, including Tonga and Western Samoa, before heading to Australia and New Zealand. These segments offer passengers an opportunity to explore remote islands and soak in their natural beauty.
The journey through Southeast Asia includes stops at renowned ports such as Singapore, Bali, and Kuala Lumpur, delivering an immersive cultural experience. Continuing into the Indian Ocean, the ship visits destinations like Saint Denis in Reunion and Walvis Bay in Namibia, as it sails along the scenic African coastline.
The final leg of the voyage includes Atlantic destinations such as Cape Verde, the Canary Islands, and Portugal, before returning to Southampton on April 13th, 2025.
Ahead of this monumental journey, Arcadia underwent a significant refurbishment at Damen Shipyard in Rotterdam in November 2024. The updates included refreshed staterooms, redesigned public spaces, and upgraded dining venues.
Notable enhancements were made to the Neptune Pool area, now featuring new lounge furniture and improved facilities for passenger comfort and relaxation.
