NCL dropped Corfu Island (Greece) from Norwegian Epic ship’s 2025 Mediterranean itinerary

   January 7, 2025 ,   Accidents

NCL-Norwegian Cruise Line’s liner Norwegian Epic will bypass Corfu Island for the second consecutive year during its 2025 Mediterranean season.

This change affects 17 sailings (scheduled between May 14th and October 21st, 2025) as part of a broader itinerary adjustment.

Instead of calling at Corfu's Port Kerkyra, NCL's Epic (one of the world's largest passenger ships) will visit other Greek ports such as Katakolon-Olympia, and Argostoli-Kefalonia, the largest of the Ionian Islands. Modifications also extend to revised schedules for popular Greek destinations, including the islands Mykonos and Santorini.

Norwegian Epic’s call at Mykonos, originally set for a 7:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. timeframe, has been shifted to a later window from 1:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. The stop at Santorini has been moved from 2:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. to an earlier slot between 7:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. These changes allow passengers to explore the islands during different times of the day, offering varied experiences.

NCL has addressed the adjustments through official notices, assuring guests that the revisions were made to enhance their comfort and overall enjoyment.

Pre-booked excursions for Corfu through NCL have been automatically cancelled, with full refunds issued. Adjustments to the date or time of other excursions have been implemented where applicable. Guests with independent bookings are encouraged to contact their providers to manage the changes.

The ship's updated Mediterranean itineraries feature a 10-night roundtrip from Civitavecchia-Rome, visiting Santorini, Piraeus-Athens, Mykonos, Katakolon, Malta, Messina Sicily, and either Naples or Livorno.

Beginning in August 2025, Mykonos, Katakolon, and Naples will be replaced with visits to Argostoli and Cannes (France).

Additionally, a 9-night voyage will substitute Athens for Heraklion (Crete).
