Princess Cruises has announced flexible options for guests affected by the devastating fires in the Los Angeles region. The cruise line is allowing booked passengers residing in impacted areas to cancel their upcoming cruises - scheduled to depart between January 11th and January 30th, 2025 - without incurring penalties.

Affected guests will receive a Future Cruise Credit (FCC) equivalent to the value of their original booking, as well as full refunds for add-on products, such as shore excursions and Princess Packages. The company has expressed its commitment to accommodating these guests, emphasizing its intention to provide opportunities for rebooking at a more suitable time.

The FCC can be applied toward a new Princess cruise departing from Los Angeles at any point in 2025. Despite the fires, the Los Angeles World Cruise Center remains operational, and scheduled cruise ship departures are proceeding as planned. Similarly, Los Angeles International Airport continues to function normally for guests flying in for their voyages.

Princess Cruises currently has 3 ships - Grand Princess, Discovery Princess, and Island Princess - scheduled for departures from Los Angeles throughout the remainder of January.

As of Sunday morning, authorities have confirmed 16 fatalities, with at least 6 fires still burning across Los Angeles. Reports estimate that 10,000+ homes and structures have been damaged or destroyed in the affected areas.
