MSC Sinfonia started the winter 2024-2025 season (running until late April 2025) with a series of 7-night Eastern Mediterranean itineraries.

The MSC Cruises-owned vessel offers roundtrips from Greece, Italy, and Turkey, with embarkation points/homeports, respectively, Piraeus-Athens, Bari, and Istanbul and Izmir. This marks a return to service for the vessel following its layup during the previous winter, a decision driven by geopolitical challenges in the region. The current deployment is part of a broader plan for year-round operations in the Eastern Mediterranean, extending through May 2026.

The itineraries visit Corfu Island (Greece).

In May 2025, the liner will shift to a summer schedule focused on the Greek Isles, departing from Bari. The itinerary will include iconic destinations such as Santorini, Katakolon (gateway to Olympia), Argostoli in Kefalonia, Corfu, and Piraeus.

Between July and October 2025, MSC Sinfonia will also make occasional visits to Syros, adding a distinctive touch to the season.

The ship’s recent deployment follows a challenging period. During the 2023-2024 winter season, her schedule was suspended due to the geopolitical situation in Israel, which necessitated the cancellation of cruises featuring Haifa. While out of service, the vessel underwent routine maintenance and technical upgrades during a drydock period at the Palumbo Shipyard in Valletta (Malta). This work included class inspections, general hotel-area maintenance, and technical enhancements.

Notably, MSC Sinfonia previously underwent a major modernization project in 2015. This involved a 25-meter hull extension, the addition of new cabins, and the introduction of upgraded onboard features, ensuring the vessel remains a competitive option for Mediterranean cruising.
