Emerald Cruises has marked a significant milestone in the construction of its newest superyacht - Emerald Kaia, with a ceremonial keel-laying event held in collaboration with MKM Yachts Ltd in Halong Bay (Vietnam) in late December 2024.
This traditional ceremony, which serves as the foundational stage of shipbuilding, sets the course for what promises to be a state-of-the-art addition to the Emerald Cruises fleet.
Emerald Kaia is slated to debut in April 2026 and is expected to elevate the standards of luxury yachting. Updated renderings unveiled by Emerald Cruises highlight the vessel’s modern design, innovative amenities, and attention to guest comfort. The yacht will cater to up to 128 guests, with 88% of accommodations offering private verandas for panoramic ocean views.
Key features aboard Emerald Kaia include:
- An expansive Observation Sun Deck.
- A wellness center with a spa 50% larger than those on its predecessors.
- A swim-up platform providing direct ocean access.
- Enhanced marina facilities, including an indoor lounge and water sports equipment such as an inflatable slide.
The yacht’s bespoke itineraries will cover destinations in the Mediterranean, Adriatic, Aegean, and Seychelles. Designed to navigate secluded ports and remote coastlines, Emerald Kaia continues Emerald Cruises' tradition of offering intimate travel experiences that larger ships cannot.
Joining sister yachts Emerald Azzurra and Emerald Sakara, Emerald Kaia represents Scenic Group’s ongoing investment in the luxury yacht market. The vessel is positioned as a showcase of the company’s dedication to redefining luxury small-ship cruising.
Bookings are now open for Emerald Kaia’s inaugural season, with itineraries featuring renowned destinations such as Venice, Dubrovnik, and Athens (Piraeus). The yacht is available for individual bookings, group travel, or private charters, delivering an elevated yachting experience designed to cater to the discerning traveler.
