Costa Cruises announced a call to Sanremo during Italy’s music week with a music-themed voyage on the Costa Toscana ship.
Toscana's Music Cruise 2025, running from February 8th to 16th, will combine a Mediterranean sailing with an immersive celebration of music festivals, offering a distinctive onboard experience that showcases diverse genres through live performances, workshops, interactive activities, and themed parties.
The voyage departs from Savona on February 8th, setting the tone with a Warm-up Sound Party, featuring indie rock and alternative pop performances. The next morning, the ship will arrive in Sanremo, where passengers can explore the historic old town and picturesque villages of the Riviera during the city’s vibrant music week. That evening, the Grand Opening event, ‘Waves of Music,’ will feature a spectacular fireworks and light show over the Bay of Sanremo, created in collaboration with the Municipality of Sanremo. The evening will include performances by Radio Deejay’s Albertino, Fargetta, Molella, and Prezioso in the ship’s Colosseum, officially launching the music celebration.
Following a day at sea on February 10th, during which onboard events will spotlight punk and rock music themes, the ship will arrive in Barcelona on February 11th. Guests will be able to explore the city’s landmarks, such as Gaudi’s architectural masterpieces, before returning to the ship for the ‘Sea of Stars’ experience. This unique event will feature stargazing in the dark Balearic Sea and a bohemian-themed evening with pop and hip-hop performances.
On February 12th, Costa Toscana will dock in Marseille, where passengers can visit iconic sites such as Notre-Dame de la Garde. The evening onboard will celebrate electronic music with a futuristic theme of lights and sound. The following day, the ship will reach Civitavecchia-Rome, offering passengers a chance to explore the Eternal City. That evening, back onboard, a Mediterranean-themed celebration of pop and folk music will culminate in the Cetacean Sanctuary experience, an evocative light show that pays homage to the marine biodiversity of the region.
Valentine’s Day, February 14th, will see the ship return to Sanremo, where dance music icon Gigi D’Agostino will deliver an exclusive live performance to celebrate the occasion. This highly anticipated event will cap off an extraordinary day of music and romance.
The cruise will conclude on February 15th with a special collaboration with the Sanremo Festival, allowing passengers to enjoy a live connection to Italy’s most famous music event, including an onboard performance. The final evening will feature a glamorous celebration onboard, marking the end of an unforgettable journey.
