VIDEO: MSC Cruises enlists Drew Barrymore and Orlando Bloom for first Big Game ad campaign

MSC Cruises unveiled its inaugural Big Game commercial, a 60-second advertisement featuring Hollywood stars Drew Barrymore and Orlando Bloom.

The ad aims to emphasize the brand’s unique fusion of European sophistication and American comfort, alongside introducing its highly anticipated flagship, MSC World America.

The campaign marks a significant milestone for MSC, as the family-owned company launches its first national advertising initiative to support its ongoing expansion in the North American market. The commercial, developed by award-winning creative agency Highdive, will showcase the exclusive amenities and distinctive experiences aboard MSC World America, including the MSC Yacht Club, the line’s luxury "ship-within-a-ship" enclave.

In the ad’s teaser, Barrymore and Bloom are seen in the MSC Yacht Club’s Top Sail Lounge, humorously sharing the piano as Barrymore delivers her rendition of the classic tune “Holiday,” which serves as the campaign’s musical centerpiece.

This initiative sets the stage for an exciting year for MSC Cruises in the U.S., with MSC World America debuting as the largest vessel in MSC’s North American fleet. The ship is scheduled to begin service from PortMiami (Florida USA) on April 12th, 2025, offering 7-night Eastern and Western Caribbean itineraries. Each itinerary includes a visit to the private island Ocean Cay Bahamas, known for its pristine beaches, turquoise waters, and an expanding array of activities and amenities.

By combining star power, innovative marketing, and the debut of a state-of-the-art ship, MSC aims to solidify its position as a key player in the competitive North American cruise market.
