Celebrity Cruises unveiled an innovative program inviting passengers to contribute to the design and features of its newest vessel - Celebrity Xcel.
As part of the "Dream Makers" initiative, guests will have the opportunity to test and vote on various elements aboard the vessel, which is the 5th addition to the company's EDGE Series.
Scheduled to debut in November from homeport Port Everglades/Fort Lauderdale (Florida USA), Celebrity Xcel will offer 7-night itineraries with stops in the Bahamas, the Dominican Republic, and Mexico.
According to Michael Scheiner, Chief Marketing and Product Officer, the program aims to strengthen the connection between the cruise line and its passengers by directly involving them in the decision-making process. He highlighted that Celebrity’s legacy of innovative ship design and unique onboard experiences aligns perfectly with this guest-centric approach. Scheiner added that when the Celebrity Xcel launches, it will reflect the input and preferences of its future travelers, allowing them not only to find their "happy place" but also to shape its creation.
The initiative, launching on February 8th, will engage participants through online polls and in-person events. Guests will have a say in various aspects of the ship, including interior design, dining concepts, menu selections, entertainment elements like costumes and props, and even table settings. Open to residents of the USA, Canada (excluding Quebec), the U.K., Australia, and New Zealand who are 21 or older, the program is free to join. Celebrity Cruises encourages travelers to seize this opportunity to leave their mark on what promises to be a groundbreaking addition to its fleet.
