The Canaveral Port Authority has announced an expanded commitment from MSC Cruises, which includes the deployment of MSC's 4th WORLD-Class ship (TBN) during the 2027-2028 season. MSC's newest and largest ship will be homeported in Port Canaveral, marking a significant enhancement to the world’s second-busiest cruise port - after Miami.

Beginning in Winter 2026-2027, MSC Grandiosa ship will also offer year-round 7-night Caribbean roundtrips from Port Canaveral, with an inaugural deployment during winter 2025-2026. In addition, MSC Seashore ship will continue to operate year-round 3- and 4-night itineraries to The Bahamas and MSC Ocean Cay.

Port Canaveral CEO Capt. John Murray highlighted the significance of MSC Cruises’ expansion at the port, emphasizing the addition of these advanced vessels as a testament to the port’s ability to provide exceptional guest experiences. The commitment reaffirms Port Canaveral’s role as a vital hub for cruising from Central Florida.

MSC Cruises USA's Executive Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer, Lynn Torrent, noted that the partnership with Port Canaveral reflects both the strong support from the port and the growing demand from guests who value its strategic location. By offering a variety of itineraries year-round, MSC ensures flexibility for travelers while maintaining its pledge to deploy its most innovative ships in the Caribbean market.

The upcoming WORLD-Class MSC ship (yet to be named) will continue the series launched with MSC World Europa in 2022. She promises a host of state-of-the-art features, including 19 dining venues, 18 bars and lounges, and an outdoor family-focused venue called The Harbour, which will include a ropes course, playground, water park, and the Cliffhanger over-water swing ride. Other highlights include the open-air World Promenade with dining and shopping, a three-level World Galleria lined with restaurants and shops, one of the longest dry slides at sea, and the largest MSC Yacht Club in the Caribbean, catering to guests seeking exclusivity and luxury.

These developments further solidify Port Canaveral’s position as a premier cruise destination and underscore MSC Cruises’ dedication to bringing modern and innovative experiences to the Caribbean.
