The ultra-luxury expedition travel brand Seabourn is preparing for its Alaska 2025 season with the maiden arrival of Seabourn Quest to "The Last Frontier."
Between May and September 2025, the vessel will operate 18 seven-day itineraries between Vancouver (British Columbia Canada) with Juneau (Alaska USA).
The "Ventures by Seabourn" program will offer a comprehensive suite of optional shore excursions, enabling guests to participate in expedition-style land-based activities such as hiking, kayaking, and Zodiac boat expeditions.
These excursions will cover notable locations including Hubbard Glacier, Tracy/Endicott Arm, the Inian Islands, Rudyerd Bay within the Misty Fjords, Alert Bay in British Columbia, and other select destinations. Each excursion will be conducted by members of the ship’s expedition team - experts in natural history, science, wildlife, and regional heritage - tasked with imparting detailed insights into the history, ecology, and culture of the areas visited.
For example, one excursion will allow participants to paddle a kayak near Hubbard Glacier, a significant tidewater glacier characterized by its imposing ice formations and vertical cliffs. Another option will take guests on the Rainbow Falls Trail Adventure Hike in Wrangell (Alaska), along a constructed boardwalk that traverses a temperate rainforest, passing a creek and the falls. Additional Zodiac excursions will navigate through Tracy Arm toward either Sawyer Glacier or Dawes Glacier on Endicott Arm, offering a water-level perspective of the glacier and its surrounding ice formations, while affording opportunities to observe local fauna such as various bird species, mountain goats, sea lions, and harbor seals, conditions permitting.
