One of Europe's largest river cruise companies - CroisiEurope recently became a member of CLIA (Cruise Lines International Association) as a River Cruise Marketing Affiliate for Australasia.
This partnership allows CroisiEurope Australasia to be showcased to CLIA’s network of 6000+ travel agents across Australia and New Zealand, positioning it among leading cruise operators and industry partners representing ports, destinations, tourism operators, and suppliers.
Joel Katz, Managing Director for CLIA in Australasia, welcomed the inclusion of CroisiEurope, noting that the brand has been central to the river cruising sector for ~50 years and that its addition comes at a time of increasing interest in river cruises from both travelers and travel agents. In parallel, Naidah Yazdani, CroisiEurope Asia Pacific Director, expressed optimism about the enhanced relationship with the Australasian travel trade, emphasizing the company’s commitment to providing travelers with access to exclusive destinations and unique itineraries at competitive prices. She also indicated that with international markets already accounting for approximately half of CroisiEurope’s business, a strategic expansion in Australasia - complementing its established offices in the US and UK - will significantly grow this segment.
Founded in 1976 by Gerard Schmitter, CroisiEurope pioneered cruising on the Rhine and has since expanded its portfolio to include a wide range of destinations and itineraries on canals, rivers, and seas in Europe and worldwide. Operating a fleet of 50 intimate ships, the brand offers all-inclusive packages and a style of service that reflects the French joie de vivre. Representatives from CroisiEurope Australia are expected to actively participate in CLIA Australasia events throughout the year, further reinforcing the company’s growing presence in the region.
