MSC Cruises has officially inaugurated the MSC Miami Cruise Terminal at PortMiami (Florida USA) on February 8th, positioning it as one of the most significant developments in maritime infrastructure.
The terminal, which welcomed its first vessel - MSC Seascape - can accommodate up to 3 ships simultaneously and process as many as 36,000 guests daily. This facility, a collaborative project between the Cruise Division of MSC Group, PortMiami, and Miami-Dade County, was designed by Arquitectonica and constructed by Fincantieri Infrastructure.
Looking ahead, MSC plans to operate 4 ships from the new terminal this year. Among these is the upcoming MSC World America, set to debut in April with 7-night itineraries, while MSC’s luxury sister brand, Explora Journeys, will also utilize the terminal for its sailings.
Construction on the terminal commenced in March 2022, marking a major milestone in enhancing PortMiami’s capacity to serve the global cruise industry.
