MSC Cruises has officially opened Terminal H, its new cruise terminal at the Port of Barcelona’s Moll Adossat. The facility welcomed its first passengers on Saturday, February 15th, as MSC Fantasia arrived from Tunis (Port Rades), carrying 4,000+ travelers.
Designed by Ricardo Bofill Architecture Studio (RBTA), the 12,500-square-meter terminal represents an investment of ~EUR 50 million. It is expected to accommodate ~4 cruises per week, totaling ~190 calls annually.
MSC Cruises stated that Terminal H has been designed to combine elegant and innovative architecture with an enhanced passenger experience, ensuring smoother embarkation and disembarkation processes.
The company plans to hold an official inauguration for the facility in the coming months.
Upon arrival, passengers were received by Sandra Yunta (MSC Terminal Director) and Gianluca Suprani (MSC’s VP for Global Ports and Shore Activities).
Terminal H will serve as a key hub for MSC, which operates a fleet of 22 ships and holds a leading position in the European market. Additionally, the facility will accommodate vessels from Explora Journeys, MSC’s luxury cruise brand.
