Severe gales have disrupted transport links to and from the Isle of Man, affecting both ferry services and flights on Sunday, February 24th.
The Isle of Man Steam Packet Company canceled daytime sailings of Manxman between the island and Lancashire due to adverse weather conditions. The company also confirmed that the 19:30 GMT crossing to Heysham and its 01:45 return would be delayed by 30 minutes.
Air travel was similarly impacted, with the majority of morning and midday flights to and from Isle of Man Airport canceled, leading to delays later in the day.
The Ronaldsway Met Office had issued a yellow weather warning for severe gales, in effect until 15:00 GMT, cautioning that gusts could reach speeds of up to 70 mph (113 km/h).
